When typing with a qwerty keyboard. do u hit "C" with ur middle finger?

because my ring finger touches the "C" key much more comfortably,and it almost cramps my finger to go to "C" with my middle finger like the tutor is asking

I use my middle finger.





Then again I have big hands, and am self taught through years of working in IT, so probably don't do things properly.





Hmmmm strange, managed to type all of that without needing the C at all and was actually watching to see what I used (yep - middle finger for those last 2)
Reply:well, I find i hit the letter C with my index finger. Trying to hit it with the middle finger requires me to move my index finger abit too much. It shouldnt really matter tho. Whatever flies by you.

Alternative finger positioning





This method was developed by Alexey Kazantsev under a contract with NASA :) and approved by the FDA of the planet Earthdome ;). The deviation from the traditional method is in the home finger positions which now occupy the SDFV and NJKL keys. This way the hands can keep a more natural position resulting in less stress. They can even touch the keyboard or the desk. In this method, you use your index finger for the "C" key. Try it on the link below.
Reply:if your left hand rests (index finger) on the "f" key like it is supposed to, then the "c" key is most naturally struck with the middle finger, ans it is almost impossible to strike it with your ring finger...re-check your starting position...your tutor is correct
Reply:You should use your middle finger for the c, as well as the e, d, (other hand) i, ,, and k. If your RING finger is hitting the C "more comfortably" that's really strange..... I can't even FORCE my ring finger that far over.
Reply:You tutor is correct, although I find myself hitting a 'c' with my index finger to be easier. My guess is that you need to adjust how you are positioning your left hand.
Reply:yeah you hit it with the middle finger, do it however u want, just to blame us when you fail your class and u cant type 60wpm.
