Are prosecutors just harassing because she is Paris Hilton?

they're always trying to fakely fool people like they're really being equal harassing celebs, come on, guess because celeb doesn't mean have high level corrupt connections, these wealthy girls in houston (harris county, last name Dunn) convicted of armed robbery gave probation and have to shelve books in a/c library and tutor, how come they don't mow lawns? like a david medina corrupt district judge put by rick perry and bush failed breathalyzer fake trial and dropped case; also a fed issue, robert blake's attorney even said county jails worse conditions and rights (worse for health, fed issue) than state and federal pens (hot checks worse crime than state or fed felonies), as anyone knows if Paris Hilton was related to a corrupt cop (child, relative or friend) wouldn't have even been charged as well as jailed, cops' kids worst delinquents and drug dealers (pushers) and notorious criminal offenders, that's a proveable fact

Reply:They may be making an example out of her, but so what? I think it's great when celebs have to do a little time for their crimes just like everyone else. Having the money to pay your way out of jail doesn't make you any less guilty.

Reply:I think it is what the government decides and well they pretty much control everything, I mean think about it, some guy and his wife were being a little bit affectionate on an airplane and supposedly this guy might get 20 years in a federal prison, yet Dick Cheney shot a guy while out hunting and tried to cover it up and got nothing out of it, Lil Kim got a year in prison for whatever it was she did, can't remember but I know she didn't kill anybody, think about it, Paris Hilton is an annoying ditz who was drinking and driving without a license, I think maybe she just might deserve some jail time, besides it's not like the rest of the world who is not famous and Multi millionare wouldn't get it

But I think somehow this is all just a publicity thing because we all know she's not going anywhere. She never does, but she needs to be an adult and pay for her actions. Reply:You know, maybe if the courts put away these offenders, they would learn their lesson early in life and then not go on to continue drinking and driving and breaking the law. We have a lot of criminals on the streets because they think they can get away with it. Paris thinks she can whine and cry and get away with it, but if she doesn't get smacked down right now, she will continue her drinking and driving because she's "special" and maybe kill someone some day in her fast little car while she's stone drunk.
Reply:You have one side saying she ought to get off easy because of her celebrity status and one side saying she should get it harder. How about just enforce it equally no matter who you are or how rich you are? The law is the law.





You break probation you are usually handcuffed and sent to jail immediately. But not Paris. She gets to get her affairs in order before a short stint for a very serious crime.
Reply:You go out and do what she did and we'll see how mercifully the court system works for you. It should be the same for everyone, not just special people like Paris and OJ Simpson.
Reply:I think sometimes celebrities mess up and they get more public attention %26amp; sometimes harsher scrutiny or punishment just because authorities know that the press/public are "on top" of the story %26amp; they don't want to be accused of going easy on them. However, I don't think the prosecutors are harrassing Paris Hilton because of her "status". I think Paris' mom might of ticked of the judge at the recent court date, and made things worse with her disrespect...her asides and comments demonstrated that the family does think they are above the law. I agree that there would be no question about fairness or the sentence if Paris was not a Hilton %26amp; she may have even gotten a harsher sentence in a much worse prison. I don't wish anything bad for anyone, but I think it is probably for Miss Hilton's greater good, if she does serve the sentence. She seems to be out of control, self indulgent and quite disrespectful of just about everyone except herself. I don't think the governor will grant an appeal, either. It would reflect very poorly on him if he did.
