Long hard math problem...someone help me please..???

The school system is trying to help their students be more successful. They are going to hire tutors to help. They must have more teachers than tutors. The maximum number of teachers and tutors to be hired is 50. How many tutors and how many teachers can they hire?

Let x = number of teachers hired.

Let y = number of tutors hired.

a. Write an inequality that represents the statement that the number of teachers hired must exceed the number of tutors hired.

b. Write an inequality that represents the statement that the maximum number of teachers and tutors is 50.

c. Choose a point that satisfies the situation, and explain why you chose that number of tutors and teachers.

Long hard math problem...someone help me please..???
a. x %26gt; y

b. x + y ≤ 50

c. This requires graphing. Just graph those 2 equations on a coordinate plane where the x-min and y-min are both 0 (in other words ignore the negative part, since you cannot have negative teachers or tutors unless you fire some lol) Then find a place where the shading of the two lines overlap (i am going to assume that you know how to graph inequalities) and pick that point.
Reply:a: x%26gt;y

b: x+y %26lt;= 50

c: example: x=26, y=24;

x=27,y=23;

x=28,y=22;

x=29,y=21;

.

x=49,y=1

Many points, you can pick any one of them
Reply:a. x-y is greater than 0

b. x+y is less than or equal to 50

c. 35=x and 15=y. this works because 35 + 15 =50 and 35-15 is greater than 0
